Vea is a talented ball handling forward with a kind of Solomona/Lauititi style rather than the standard workhorse running hard and defending solidly you typically find in the second row. He will suit a team with an offload style with support runners and will be a loss if and when he goes; he is a rare breed of player. As always when you step up you need to be better than the men already in the team to play; this is something he needs to bear in mind as a regular fringe player for many seasons prior to joining us.



Whilst some of the other London juniors would undoubtedly be great signings for the paltry fees the RFL stipulates for juniors, they will risk being an irregular selection like Caro, Channing and before them Sharp and Worrincy were. The Northern clubs will be less forgiving to those still learning the game. Dixon could just as easily be the new Kevin Penny at a big club with most clubs having three decent wingers. Caton-Brown is probably the name on most opposition supporter's lips, however he has only played the game since around the age of 15 just as Caro has and it will do him no harm to play first team football for a couple of years.



The London Juniors are mainly on two year contracts, aside from Dixon, so we wll get a development fee at minimum and we should be after a fair deal. What upsets me is when a richer club signs the player for peanuts or nothing; you only get about £5000 per year for the years spent in your system.
