So the RFL would be very surprised if it happened then, not gonna get too excited then!

| So why is Brentford a backward step?
Funny that no-one assumed that the second visit to the stoop was a backward step.
We had some good times at Brentford, the ground is suitable for our needs, holds good memories, there is a pub on every corner!!! ok crap parking but for crowds we get not an issue!!
Its more like a traditional rugby league ground of years gone.
If this is more than a rumour I would be more than happy! all we need is a squad of players that can play

| And the crowds went up when we were there.
Probably because of GF doing door drops and all his suggestions.

Nope....Chris Warren was the guy who printed the leaflets and other organised the volunteers, of which I was one, to do the delivery. I used to deride CW on the lack of anything else but by comparison to 2013, 2002-2005 were the boom years in RL marketing in London

| Biggest problem in my opinion at the moment is a viable squad for next season. Solution would be signing eight good overseas players frim RLWC this autumn. support from the top four SL clubs with season long loan signings to boost the squad but ultimately dispensation from relegation for two years.
The set up of the former London Broncos is a great template for failure, no democratic board, no interaction wuth fans, no marketing, no media. Nothing should survive that regime at all, perhaps a place on the board for David Hughes.
GP would be a great move under the right leadership. David Hughes involvement with Charlton Athletic being a stumbling block perhaps, maybe not, if new owners take over.
There is an opportunity to buy the ground as it is not fully owned by the football club. Ron Noades' name crops up here. Buy Griffin Park and then lease use of the ground back to Brentford FC giving them and us a revenue stream ( at last). and then oin Brentford FC in a partnership & groundshare at Lionel Park.
Use the move to GP as a catalyst to build up a fan base in the south of England.
( Then sell GP for housing ) Proper home, proper roots. Of course too good to be true, but nice to dream!!!
I follow London from East Anglia, I am not an ex pat Northener or an Antipodean bar worker this is an overstressed stereotype which would fail time and time again in the search to sell the game to a sporting audience.

Be keen to know why you think this?
When the club have involved either TNT or an Aussie Beer offer, the crowds were markedly higher. I am not saying they are the answer, not by any stretch, but it isn't who you market to so much as how you do it.....6,500 for the WCC warm up a few years back shows that they will respond.
As for ex-pat northerners....are you saying that the 21,000 of the 42,000 fans at Wembley in 2011 that were from London and the south east were all random sports fans with no allegiance to any club? It would seem very strange that these 21,000 would attend this one double header but not support at least one of the 30 professional clubs on the planet....if not an English club, then they fall into the transient barstaff category, if an English club, then they are at least targetable for one game a year.

| The only advantage, long term, from moving back to Griffin Park, would be if it meant we'd be allowed to move into the new Lionel Road stadium in August 2016. Brentford have said they'd be interested in having a rugby team in the LR stadium, and London Welsh often mentioned as the possible club.
One of the problems with Griffin Park was they'd reseed the pitch during the summer, meaning the Broncos would have to go on the road for a number of games.
Trains on Sundays and parking can be issues as well.

Interesting to note you derided someone who had a bachelor of commerce and who once came on here (for some reason) pointing out his marketing quals, whilst you yourself, were totally unqualified.
But thanks for being one of the MANY volunteers. Attendances went up at Griffin Park. I'd put that down to you as you've been the only one to talk themselves up about those days.

Do you think this may not be happening? That someone like Tony Rea is not aware of internationals from australia playing for other countries.
I suspect people underestimate the RL network. But we'll see what comes out of it.
