With regards to the team in Romford, I can tell you that, for the moment, the Romford people have teamed up with Brentwood as we were all concerned that there may not be a big enough player pool in the area to support two teams.



I don't know where you live Richie but we do attract players from Romford RUFC, including our Chairman's son. Therefore, if you can get to Romford, you can get to Brentwood. It's not that far!

It is only a short walk from where I live, but unfortunately I am flying out of the country Friday night. I will make sure I get along to fixtures later in the season though.

For those who don't know North Herts Knights is the second team to the North Herts Crusaders RLFC. North Herts Crusaders are only in their third year (formed Feb 2012) having been the East Premier Champions 2012, East Premier Champions 2013 & East Cup Winners 2013. They moved from Letchworth RUFC to Hitchin RUFC this season and have added a second senior squad (the Knights) having over 70 registered senior players & 2 new additional youth teams making 5 teams in total (the North Herts Crusaders take on the Southend Spartans on the same day) so if any are planning to get behind the new Essex team please try to support the clubs and rugby league in general and together watch the sport grow in the south. Nice to pick up my local paper and find a decent sized match report and photo of Saturday's win over Cambridge. Two league wins on the trot. Can't remember that happening too often when I was involved with the previous incarnation

It's now THREE league wins on the trot, with an away win at Bedford. Playing Southend away on Saturday in the East region shield. It would be a bit of an upset if we win but it is an Essex derby.
