According to reports knocked out in are of tackle and as per rules should have been play on, try would have stood had their being a video ref, maybe you saw something alot of others didn't? Harsh call from what I can make out.



Still not too downhearted with 6 first teamers missing put up a very good show.

Problem we all have is that it's not just 1 ref thats crap, it's the sodding lot of em.



If I was crap at my job then I would be sacked simple as, these clowns seem to get decisions wrong everytime they make one, glad they took up reffing and not brain surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The linesman who gave it used to play for hull kr so it must have been as clear a knock on as you will ever see

Difficulty is that the ref makes 100's of decisions in a game and invariably some are incorrect. Also, they don't always have clear line of sight.



Mistakes I can live with, it's inconsistencies which really p1$$ me off

We complain that the refs shy away from making tough decisions but Mr Allibert had no second thoughts last night as he disallowed 3 of our 4 tries. Well done sir.



Clever ploy to position the big screen behind the away fans, then turn the screen off after a contentious decision is made. Each time I turned to look at it, it was blank, then it came back on as a scrum was forming, drop out being taken etc. Something our screen operator should adopt perhaps.





The game was well played by both teams and I didn't notice any niggling or nastiness between the players and played in good spirit. On the day, probably the best team won, but I'm not on a downer. We may have lost the battle but we are still in the war, so to speak. If we can play like we did with so many 1st teamers out and no captain then we could be in for a good season. Hull are vastly improved on last season and hopefully, like us will be challenging for honours this year.



Great crowd, sadly not by us, great stadium, great game, and just what superleague is all about. Roll on next week.

the big screen should not have any involvement for the referee, its there for the fans not the officials

Don't think anything was prooved tonight. Thought Eddie said "Paul Cullen might have something to say about that on Wednesday's show". Paul Whatuira wasn't even looking at the ball when making the tackle from what I saw. It definately went forward off his arm but not a knock on according to the rules for me.



Anyway, history as you say, better team won on the day. Fitzgibbon a monster worker and best player on the pitch. Better execution from us would have made it a tighter game.
