Is Murphy out of contract at end of season? Wasnt suprised about Danny as Anderson said internal bleeding into his testicle sack. Would be suprised If he plays again this season.

| Connor at full back for me, he puts 100% in every time. He can kick, catch and tackle all with a bit of speed. Just what we need on our last line.
Tough choice between Murph and Jodie....but for this game, Jodie as we have Charnley to watch out for and Jodie has the speed to catch him.
Good job I'm not a coach eh  |

Watched the highlights last night - my first thought re the fullback was if grix had been as "slow" to come across as murphy for makinsons try or had got caught out between two players as for Robys try Grix would have been absolutely slated for it!!!
I think they are both good players with different plus points. I think Anderson will make the decision not solely on the player but on the role he wants the fullback to take as part of the TEAM. - but that aspect of the choice will be lost on many. |

You cannot seriously be blaming Murphy for either of Saints first two tries.
Just had to watch these again. First try how can the fullback get across the pitch faster than the ball. Second try from Roby is no way that the full back is to blame. What do you expect him to do other than try to tackle the man with the ball.

grix comes into the line better than connor? cant agree with that one, connor comes in very well and scores tries too with it.
not sure johnson will play this game... would think it will be crabtree/kaufusi/kopczak and taai at prop. or even faiumu

I don't think Jools was saying Murphy was to blame. What he was saying was that if Grix had been playing many on this board would have been blaming him for the exact same tries. |

Fair enough. In my opinion it will be a very tough call as to who plays full back between Grix and Murphy as both have different qualities.
If Anderson chooses Grix then he must also find a place for Murphy on the wing.
That would be harsh on Broughton who is now playing much better but for me Murphy has the better all round game.
