A crowd of 6274 for today's semi final between Wigan and London, although not much mention of it and seemed to be a bit hush hush. Is it only a problem if Huddersfield are involved? Seems to be more widespread that just the Giants if a club as successful as Wigan have been can only muster 6000 fans for a semi final played a few miles from Wigan.



Think people have to bear this in mind next time they are thinking of having a pop at a club who hasn't won owt for 60 odd years

ive tried asking this on the VT but as usual its acceptable and only our crowds are crap blah blah.......

im sure it will be mentioned by the sky lot next week amid calls for the wigan fans to support their team as they deserve better!



you are right though, poor crowds aren't usually worth mentioning apart from when its a poor crowd involving Huddersfield.

The day we take more than 6000 to a Semi Final is the day we can bitch about Wigan until then we best keep quiet and not comment on things that dont effect us.

But the argument is that its less than half of Wigan's home crowd in a semi final played IN the borough of Wigan. We would be shot to pieces if we played London in a semi final say at Halifax and the crowd was 2,500 (which is the equivalant of what happened) so why cant other clubs fans be criticised like we are ?



I'm sick to the back teeth of the digs at our crowd but whatever reasons/excuses etc we give for people not turning up seem to be acceptable for everyone else. It's only Huddersfield's poor crowds than can be torn apart.

Maybe it's been a while since you have seen a crowd as big as yesterdays

Agree 100% Daz and if we had of had the success Wigan have had since the 80's an 90's I would expect us to be taking well over 6000 to a semi final. Lets not forget we haven't won owt for decades so to do as well as we do is an acheivement IMO.



Why should it be ok to knock our crowds but no one else's? Balls, for a team like Wigan it was shocking for a Semi Final of a major cup comp played on their doorstep!!

im struggling to think of the last time i saw a crowd in excess of 6,200 for a game involving huddersfield.
