I would say on the basis and always have of taking SL on . He knows more than what’s being said. Simply taking SL on with yes a Champ side and less funding, would be suicidal to start with. That hasn’t changed.

Whichever club entered SL to replace Toronto for 2021 was on mission impossible. I guess that being back in SL and "giving it a go" was just too much of a temptation. Rather odd if DB is thinking of walking away, as he must have expected that Leigh struggling at the bottom of the table was a strong possibility.

After reading Dereks statement on Facebook on Sunday , I would think walking away is the last thing he has planned , he talks of loyalty and his love for the Town and Club , which doesn’t sound like a bloke thinking of leaving .

What is really annoying for Leigh fans is the total lockdown on information. Is this ‘need to know’ just to fuel ego? Whatever the reason it is not working. Professional sport relies on its fans to exist and to alienate them in this manner is being shown to be counterproductive.

Leigh has a loyal and vibrant fan base. Please can the operational board work to encourage the fans by providing us with something positive to hang onto in the midst of all this gloom?

Why do the injuries sustained to players and how long they are out need to be a secret? This does not happen at other clubs. What are the other reasons players are not playing?

This just leads to rumours and false information being pedalled on social media.
