The calibre of players within in this squad now should be outweighing the likes (with respect) of Riddy and Beswick. I don't see the point in dwelling in what could/should have been. This squad is 80% away from its potential IMO and replacing the reasons for that at present should be paramount.

However, the performance of our players and coaching team on Sunday was way, way below that of our 'rejects'. That is probably my biggest frustration! It's not a case of dwelling on 'what could/should have been', more a case of what 'could/should BE'

I understand all that but what's that got to do with a very poor kicking game

Before you can have a kicking game,you need offensive/defensive structures in place. They are 80% away from that. No point having a kicking game if your structures are all over the place.

I read where he reminded everyone that you lost at Batley on the first game of a particular season where it ended quite well.

We had the worst kicking in rugby last year as well and that includes amateur rugby as well and regaurding defence it's the lads that was here last year that keep getting drawn in and not trusting the inside defence

Full pre-season for all players with the exception of a few.Two hit outs Wigan/ St Helens V Toronto one hit out Bradford. Poor pre-season due to visa/player issues. No excuse really. The Batley season was a different scenario basically built on two squads. The core was there to start with,this time it needs creating. That is what will catch the weakness in the coaching staff this round and is already showing.

KC only knows one way of coaching and thats structural. No free reign. Sunday was niether, it was just a bunch of individuals just doing whatever they wanted to do. So who evers coaching that needs to make way.

Toronto didnt have the best prep though did they ?

Whatever their issues with their prep,it was obvioulsy better than ours.

Are there bigger changes coming? Michael John Norris resigned as a director of Sporting Club Leigh Ltd on the 24/01/1918 [Companies House. He owned at least 25% of the shares no new director is yet listed. I have not seen any statement from the club on this issue, can anyone throw any light on this?

Hopefully after so many years he will also become a honary member and get his own seat in the West stand.
