Lads at work seem to be convinced they'll be playing at LSV on Saturday afternoon, us Friday night, the other two on Sunday (but not at LSV

Consecutive days at the LSV would mean that the BBC could just use one lot of equipment/staff. But I get the very strong impression that they don't want to cover our game. Probably only covered the '71 Final, because there was nobody else left in the competition to televise?





Of course, should there be a mega-upset in our game, then SKY would have had the scoop - that's if they want to cover it.



Ours appears to be the only game that could be played any day - unless the 'Beeb' get Wigan's game switched to LSV, then suddenly we are restricted as to when we can play. Might as well mess up all four ties, eh?

Of course they don't want to cover our game Alan. We are only Little old Leigh, ha. If there was another all SL tie that they deemed attractive, that was not in France, we would not be hanging on this long for confirmation. It is obvious that Leigh on the Fri, Wigan on the Sat, Catalan and Hudds on the Sun had been drawn up quickly. It was published in several publications. They did not all get this out of thin air. The pie eyters are now diggin their heels in about playing at Wigan on the Fri and the beeb want them on the Sat. The BBC could have simply changed their Sat game to us, but we are not worthy. Meanwhile, we all have to wait around for Wiggin. Do you think they'd be holding up the announcements or indeed considering a change to the original fixture list put out, if Leigh had concerns about it?

This is now a joke which has to be sorted out today - I have booked half day off next Friday to make the KO and will be fuming with whoever is in charge of this farce if Leighs fixture is to be moved to make way for the Pies!!!!

In a way I wish it was possible for a double header Sat, Pies v Saints and us v Leeds on Saturday evening, it wouldnt be posssible though.

Well it's turning into a farce now, all the clubs are waiting for the dates so they can market this game whilst the BBC and Wigan take their time in thrashing it out.



Wigan were well aware that this situation could arise and should have made contingency plans for it - and so were the BBC......and what were the RFL thinking in playing this round on the weekend of the final day of the football season anyway?



It's a total disgrace.
