| I thought it stated on the rfl website that his total ban was reduced to one game only. Either way looking at the disciplinary referrals for Bulls v Swinton and Swinton v Leigh and watching the Bulls v Leigh game on Saturday sort of tells you all you need to know.

| Well let's see if the tribunal feel "that it is appropriate to look at the offences in an overall picture" come Leigh's turn.

| Having been lucky enough to see the Youtube (?) clip of the brawl, before it was removed, I don't honestly think that Hock's alleged punching offence was all that serious. He was primarily involved in pulling players out of the melee, and threw 2/3 very half-hearted punches when it all kicked off. I thought only one of the punches made contact, with the Swinton player. Certainly Ashton Simms and Brad Singleton traded many more blows in the Warrington v Leeds game last week, and they just got one match each.
If the 'contact with an official' charge is the one shown in the same clip, Hock just appeared to tug (very slightly) on the 4th official's track suit as he made his way out of the melee. In all honesty, I can't see five match bans coming from either of those alleged incidents.

| I saw the video also Alan. 3 matches for hock max. Two for Jamie and one for Mickey. Like you say there were more punches thrown in the other game and Units brawl. We should be looking a the legality of bans any longer than that.

| Not pretty to watch but I can't believe Hock got grade D for touching a match official for THAT?!
Hock gives a slight push to a lad in a grey hoody and some tracksuit bottoms who is hanging around the edge of the fight.
How is he supposed to know that is an rfl official? He's already seen Josh Barlow come to join in the fight off the bench in his subs bib and there were all sorts of trainers, physios, stewards in there breaking things up.
I thought he had shoved over a linesman or grabbed hold of the ref! Can't believe it's a grade D because the guy who holds up the substitute numbers got a bit of a nudge trying to break up a bit of biff. Good grief!

| The fourth official shouldn't have been on the pitch, as far as Hock's 'contact' with him is concerned it was minimal on someone who he didn't acknowledge as being part of the game. If he gets any punishment for that we should scrap the disciplinary committee and replace them with people who have a brain.
He did get in some good digs in the previous spat and Higham's tackle was poor.

I'm no fan of Hock, but he can't be suspended. As far as he knew, this was a stranger on the pitch who could have run on from the stands.
Only match officials wearing the appropriate clothing should be on the pitch.

| Unfortunayely his past history wont help him. Must say never been hocks biggest fan, but he seems to of settled down really well, it will be a shame if he gets a hefty ban.

I had to watch this 3 times to work out who the 4th official is (and I'm still guessing as he looks like someone who has nothing to do with officiating) and that the contact with the 4th official was when he pushed him away as he surprised Hock by approaching him from the side of the mess. Are 4th officials not supposed to wear some kind of outfit that clearly identifies who they are. If not then that needs to be addressed. If yes and a grey hoody and sweat pants is it, then that needs to be addressed. If yes and he was not wearing it, then the 4th official needs to be dealt with not Hock.
Either way I agree with Reffy on this one, the contact with the official charge should be flushed.

He did, but my point is that they were 'hadbags' compared with what happened in the incident in the Warrington v Leeds game - and they got one match each. Of course, neither of them was Gareth Hock!
