Are Patterson and Beswick still out injured?

Beswick is in that 19, (again!) but Patterson isn't.



Without wishing to open last week's can of worms, who is going to play full back this week?! You might say Smith, but we only have one centre in the squad - Armstrong - so Smith may play there, unless Maitua does.

Alan it's been said before and we all know someone has to miss out, who knows Spencer and Worthington may be injured,I wasn't impressed with Worthington at Batley anyway and we have an abundance of good forwards, when Patterson is fit someone else will miss out, then again it could be due to the dreaded Rotation

As you say Smith can play anywhere in the backs,and Pownall being added makes it more interesting, if Beswick is back then I can see Foster missing out ,but who the other misser will be is anybody guess.I'm sure Jukesy knows what he is doing,its good to see Hock back.

Worthington must be injured, no other reason to only name one centre in the squad. Bit of a worry that a position we looked so strong in with 4 quality centres we are down to 1 after just 1 game played. Pala and Tonga are still weeks away so hopefully Worthington isn't too serious.



Higson to play centre would be my guess with Pownall on the wing but could be Smith or one of the back rowers.



Our backs are a bit of a mess at the minute. Too many half backs and not enough centres or fullbacks!

Nozzy , Jukesy might have listened to me and be putting Riddy in a Centre.

We lost at Batley because we failed to take advantage of the ridiculous slope of a pitch in the first half. Batley should never have got out of the own half because we should have peppered them with kicks,High,Low and any other you can think of! Whilst the coach can take some blame, its the players out on the field who should have implemented those tactics! Playing Rangi at fullback was a waste of his talent, also, he's not the safest player under a high ball either! Scrum Half or out for Rangi in future! I've always believed Ryan's best position would be fullback and I would love to see him given the opportunity? Martyn Ridyard remains the best play maker at halfback however, he's not at his best yet!

Your squad has been announced , it's up to Dazzling Derek now what permutations he will decide, I must admit I admire his involvement with your Club , but you need a strong coach to tell him to but out, I don't think Mr Jukes is the said man.The Tripster is the man to consult.

AJ has played centre for Leigh in lots of games and Pownall could be his winger leaving Smith to play full back.

Worthington played better than Armstrong against Batley Charlie (and in most games since last June IMO). Maitua could play in the centres, as could Higson, although AJ always seems to get injured when he plays there.



Will be good to have Tonga and Pala back. I thought Pala looked very good in attack but a little dodgy in defence
