Every team in every division of every sport can identify matches they feel they should have won. Just listen to after match comments by coaches/managers. I can see your frustration at losing to KR when you were so far ahead at half-time and losing to Wakey by only 1 point but you were stuffed by Fax. You lost all three matches because you were not good enough to win any of them. As you say "Just get on with it."

and what is more embarrassing is the clubs official twitter account (which has over 10,000 followers) has "retweeted" this article to its followers. which suggests they agree with it.



surely the club should not be broadcasting these views.

The only fault that I can see with piece is that he refers to a "hidden" agenda - when there is no mistaking the openness of the agenda of SL clubs to maintain the status quo. The more high profile sports of football and rugby union don't force champion second tier clubs to jump through so many hoops to get their shot at the big time!

As you so rightly say this has been the BEST finale to a season in years , far far better than the play off system, we at Leigh knew the rules and accepted them it's no use complaining now because results have been what we expected ,for me these 8s have been a learning curve, before we started a game a fair few Leigh fans were saying MOST of our current Squad were good enough for SL standard and how we might go through the 8's unbeaten,well it's been a severe wake up call, a good percentage of our Squad are not up to the week in week out SL challenge which is why Derek feels the need to Strengthen next year.As for the Conspiracy Theory by the RFL ,I think not .
