i think the darts commentary actually spoil it somewhat.

the atmosphere from the crowd is buzzing the waddell or the other chump open there stupid mouths and talk e over it.

You mean a bit like the RFL have to give out tickets for a tri nations final?? Darts dont give any tickets away. Put aside your feelings for both sports at the moment there is only one significantly increasing its supporter and sponsorship base!

I've not watched Darts for 20 odd years. What kind of venues are they at now? They used to play in clubs when I used to watch.

MEN, Echo Arena, in fact the PDC Premier League probably out strips 80% of all rugby league clubs attendances!



And over 25K have watched this years world championships in London!

That is genuinely impressive.

But also a little disturbing how so many watch when lets face it its barely classed as a sport.



Peter Kay sold out all his gigs well in advance.....maybe RL could learn from him too.

Before having a dig at RL tho, look at Union - maybe what you say could be for that sport too. They did get a recent record crowd, but on the other side of the scale the crowds don't look that great with spot the fan etc. I don't follow Union but the highlights are shown and its not all great.
