Quote jonny the leyther="jonny the leyther"How in the name of god is queueing for a ticket any excuse for not going to the game? Rubbish. I queue for a ticket on the odd occasion that I havn't got chance to get my ticket in the week. All you have to do is get there early and then go back across to the Park Inn if you want a beer.'"
Unfortunatly its right.
For a country that queues quite professionally (compared to our European cousins) we generally avoid it.
Thus I can now check in for a flight from home , purchase a ticket for a train from home etc, etc, all use a selling point of avoiding the queues and ease of passage(amongst others).
I think the club need to think a little differently how we sell tickets if people are using the excuse or complaining about it (as a club that wants more fans in), perhaps we should look at alternate venues pre matchday which will assist the Ticket office on matchdays and assist our more less "able" supporters to purchase a ticket.
To use a example (and this is from someone who isn't really fussed about waiting 5mins for a ticket at the office).
Many years ago (when RL was a sport

) I used to travel to away games on the club coaches , I purchased my ticket for the coach from a Local Newsagent in Atherton (where I lived) as it was easy and convenient , usually a couple of days before.
If I'd had to go to Leigh to do it I wouldn't have bothered as it was out of my way , paying on the day was something I didn't want to do (as that money may have already been spent on the saturday night out

) and anyhow I don't think it was allowed.
As it was Leigh (or the coach company) got my money because they made it easy for me the "customer" to buy a ticket.
Make it easier (and lets be honest "selling" Leigh as something worth watching isn't going to get any easier with recent developments) and we may gain a few.
Could we not get ASDA or some of the Bigger town centre newsaganets to sell some for us and maybe entice some people who have only viewed the LSV's through the weeds and trees from the bypass
