Spoke to IM about half an hour ago and they are all chomping at the bit and hoping that the game goes ahead, he says that all the paths and car parks have been gritted and they (both club ad LSV) want the game on badly.



For all the ones on about other various venues being on etc.. dont forget that the LSV over the last few weeks has had no 'foot traffic' (well not much) due to the college being closed and thats what keeps the paths clear, folk using them, and if the game is called of it wont be the club fault, as I know all were gutted the safety officer (rightly so IMO) called off the game last week.

Lets keep our fingers crossed - it's miles better than last week now! Although it will be a cold one if the game is played!!

The Antique and Collectors Fair in the sports centre went ahead yesterday. If the car parks at the LSV were OK for that, then I think the match will be on. I seem to recall during the winter months at Hilton Park in the 70s and 80s, a frozen pitch was the only problem to worry about. Shovels and straw sometimes seemed successful in having the game played. No concern was put on the surrounding frozen areas. Makes me wonder how I managed to get to the games back then along the icy paths.

i was at the club this morning and they had a road gritter driving around the car parks and roads slinging grit everywhere, they also had some blokes out on a buggy with grit and shovels, they ARE trying to keep the match on

There is going to be a inspection tomorrow morning at 10:30, then a decision will be made one way or other, my source the club itself, fingers crossed people.

that's good to hear I'm itching to watch us play & I felt like my chrisdmas was ruined due to the weather here's to hoping for our game tomorrow

i`ve just been to stadium and cant see why the game wouldn`t be on, gritters out ground staff shovels in hand. if its because of the roads around the ground i.e by pass or diamond street well they met as well call it off because my street is full of ice and i met slip



tryin to get to the game.

That worries me - 1030am is pretty early after the harsh overnight frost.

If the LSV area is OK and thats what the STADIUM safety officer will decide on, then the match should go ahead.



Ice in surrounding Streets and paths should not be a factor, if they are, how have we all survived over the last few weeks.H&S gone mad if the games cancelled.

I bet the path on the by-pass will be the issue again ,was told a police car was there today ,must have been having a look .
