Unless things have changed matt then we're looking for a FT coach.



I believe Deacon has just announced his retirement as a player,he'd make a good coach with an experianced man underneath him.

Don't see the need for the expense of a full-time coach when we will only be running one team next year - it made sense when Millward was head of the framework with U23's, U18's etc but not sure we'll see the benefit of it next time around?



Deacon has been confirmed on Wigan's coaching team for next season by the way.

Could be right matt but i'm sure the cub could find him something possitive to do as regards to future devolopments of the club on and off the field.



The under 18s are still in place arn't they? and the 23s are being brought back after the 2012 season?.

It is essential that the coach is full time, as well as the first team there is the new apprentice scheme thats running, plus the 18's thats in the pipeline in conjunction with the college, the new coach will be a full time appointment the BOD have already stated that.

Malcolm Alker would be just about as bad as it could get!

do you not think Duffy and Littler will have enough on there plates as players without first team coaching responsibilities?.

If they do appoint a player coach - something I do not think they will - then someone inexperienced will need a guiding hand behind them and that would mean another salary so I think it's a non goer TBH.

Murp was a one off.. World class player and brill motivater we will never see the likes of a player

like Murphy again at Leigh in my opinion in our lifetime

MURPHY was the Greatest ever and his record at Leigh over the years will never be repeated

Anyway my choice of coachin set up would be Mac from Swinton and Rowley with Calland a close second but ive a feeling Pengy and Rowls are gonna get the nod !!!!!!!!!!

Fred i think you will find that you are wrong about Turks coaching methods an ex player told me that several years after he left Leigh to play in SL a well known coach introduced Turks methods as the new thing from Aus so it was more a case of Turk the inovator. I would give him the job tomorrow
