It seems to me that Halifax are getting a little bit carried away at the moment. Their Brawler of a coach seems to be beleiving that they are unbeatable. granted they have started the season very well but when you read comments like "we will score 100 against someone this season" "we are easily the best side in this league" then you get councillours demanding they get promoted as they are so good, they have a good go at at a SL side but still lose in the end and all of a sudden they are all but there. The only thing they seem to forget is that this season has really only just started and really does count for nowt anyway if us Widnes or anyone else have an exceptional season next or year after we will be in excatly the same position apart from we have superb facilities! and don't forget Fax have a worse Financial track record than us so they could go bust again!!!! If Fax believe their own press surely they would be better off keeping their expectations in house? Remember the Undefeatable Robins at Blackpool in the NRC Final?? Who do we play in the next round of the NRC?

Well they are the best side, although Toulouse away will be interesting, but they have the best players this year and it amazes me they stay under the cap as their gates are on par with ours.

That garbage about put them in SL now, did them no favours and their is a fine line between confident and cocky.

They should win the NRC and GF but you never know, didnt we beat a SL club, run another very close and batter all before us before imploding one season??

After years and years of false promises, let downs and embarrassments this season we finally seem to have got it right ranging from player selection through to management of the club.

I think we have every right to get excited about what is going on at our club and i know for a fact if it was Leigh who were in this situation that you would be saying the exact same things.



I couldnt care less what the coach is saying and to be honest i personally dont think we will go the season unbeaten or whatever. Aslong as we keep playing the rugby we have and winning games i will applaud anything the club does. The team this year has reminded me as to why i love rugby league and long may it continue.



Let us have our moment? I'm sure you will be in a similar situation very soon.

A couple of mis-quotes there. Matt never said "we are easily the best team in this league". And Yorkshire lacking humility...Matt is from Widnes. After 10 years of absolute turd at fax, we are more than humble.



The politicians diatribe was nothing to do with the club, you know that. Dont interpret fact to suit your conclusion.



The confidence we have is that we are for the first time in years, enjoying watching fax play, and enjoying rather than enduring being a fax fan. Who would begrudge us that...surely not begruding lancastrians?
