| I've seen a few people say that there are no direct trains between Warrington and St. Helens.
There is a train from bank quay to lea green within walking distance of the ground?

| First Vespid_Wire and most importantly...We are not in Cheshire.
It is an adopted ceremonial county. Warrington does however fall within the traditional boundary of Lancashire and so does Manchester.
However...Old Trafford football ground sits upon the boundary of Trafford borough and Salford and not Manchester. None of these are in Greater Manchester because that no longer exists. Greater Manchester exist only in law as to tie up legal affairs that the unitary authorities have together, one being the very profitable Manchester Airport, which they all take a slice in profits!

Sorry to be pedantic here but the traditional Cheshire boundary is the River Mersey.
Wilderspool, our ancestral home is SOUTH of this boundary IN CHESHIRE.
We are a CHESHIRE club originating from the southern half of a majority LANCASHIRE town.

| The town of Warrington has always been in Lancashire. Villages south of the Mersey were incorporated within the borough of Warrington later an do indeed fall under the traditional boundary of Cheshire. However Wilderspool is the ground where the team bearing the Name of Warrington which is in Lancashire chose to play their games. Latchford and Wilderspool however were taken within the boundary of Lancashire a long time ago.

| Why are we arguing about geography? I wish I hadn't have mentioned it now!
Can we all just agree that Leeds owl's post was ridiculous and move on?

| Most disappointing. When I read the title of the thread I thought it was about erectile disfunction.
At my age you develop a morbid interest in such things.

| Best place to park ? Will be St Helens earlier in the day so even any "if you can get there early enough" places might work.

| It seems the stats favour Wire.
In over a 100 years of RL Leeds have never beaten Warrington in any semifinal play off.
Out of our final meetings with Leeds it's currently 10 a piece.
