My point was in relation to Gillies. Having said that those who idolise Burns and Mann, whilst not bad players, havent seen Warrington play for long enough to talk about them in terms of best imports with the likes of Blake, Boyd et al - its rediculous.
I'm half suprised not see see Brent Grose on the list. |

Flop all you want, my point was beyond SL. I'm at a loss that you describe Mann as a workaday, as he has been the best hooker I have ever witnessed play for us. |

The topic isn't about best imports, but people's favourites. Wire fans have a knack of idolising some pretty average players, but you can't stop people having their favourites. The very first post mentioned farrar, which i found laughable, but each to their own.

I think for what he did in a pretty poor side it's got to be.... Nat Wood for me.
He was just a warrior. Tough as nails, agile, could break the line frequently & popped up with try's. Loved him.
