We left with 5 mins to go. With a 2yr old who was up well past her 6pm bedtime, and a 5 and 7 year old, one of whom had told me about naughty men punching each other. With a 10 min walk to the car, we had NO desire to get caught up in any nonsense outside the ground. We would probably have stayed had we won, but not to the very end of everything. I did not enjoy the match - surrounded by Leeds fans, really hostile (compare to every other match my season ticket has taken me to this year)

Defo feel the difference from Wembley alot more tension in the air and that was before you got in.



Pockets of people goading was stupid I think if we had won the Widnes tvvats near us would of been jumped on.

Couldn*t agree with you more there.....Some of these idiots have been boozing for 7-8 hours then if you are unfortunate to be sitting by them,they spend half the time getting up to go have a pi$$......All for having the kick off time brought forward.....

I was at the game last night as a huddersfield fan just going to enjoy the game and as use scored i noticed a man throw a glass bottle down to the bottom tier, bearing in mind it could of knocked someone out or damaged someone, disgrace.

There seems to be a lot of talk about people going in having already consumed a large amount of alcohol beforehand.

I spent 10 minutes arguing with a door steward as he wasn't going to let my 12 year old daughter take her "vuvuzela" into the ground.

The sign behind him clearly shown a picture of an air horn (compressed air type).

I told him I would leave it in the bag I was carrying which he didn't even bother to look in to see what was in it.

He said "yeah !!! and you'll take it out once you get in, I'm not daft"

I said if it was in the bag you wouldn't have seen it anyway.

He still didn't search my bag.

Only when his supervisor came was I allowed to enter and when I reached my seat there was a crescendo of horns all around us.

If that's the same incident I've heard about, the lad who took the beating is a Woolston player and the attackers play for another team local to Warrington (I won't name them here). Seems he's in hospital with his face glued together.



A Warrington family/group near us (North Stand, towards Leeds end) left during the game after some sort of aggro with Leeds fans. I saw 3 young kids, their mother and 1 or 2 blokes leave, looking gutted. I didn't see what went on so won't apportion blame. The police were there but not sure there was much they could do.



Anyway, felt for you all last night, would have been far more deserving champions.

Doesn't happen that often thankfully BUT how long into the new season before the stewarding at the HJ gets criticised by away supporters for dealing with these kind of drunken idots in the way they deserve. I think last season (god, LAST season already) Hull KR, Wigan and Hull whinges about it but if I am correct only Hull got an "official" reply along the lines of somebody was a bit overzealous. Even some of our own fans will have a whinge when drunken/antagonising indivudals are dealt with. Personally, if they are drunk dont let them in, if they get drunk stop serving them, if they are acting like prats...kick em out.



I previously was an advocate of "banning" alcohol sales at grounds but have now mellowed in my attitude BUT would whole heartedly support a zero-tolerance of anti-social behaviour. However, I do sometimes wonder how much of the lack of action inside the ground is because the local polcie have had a quiet word with the club as at leats the kn##s are detained in one location.

Having been pestered into going to the final by "err in doors" i was shocked at the sheer number of "loons" on the prowl outside the ground. We did a bit of people watching and it seemed like all the SL clubs had sent their "loons" on a day out. The atmosphere was truly intimidating. A huge disappointment after the recent visits to Wembley. Even inside the stadium there were ridiculous scuffles between Wire fans.
