Mata’utia showed enough yesterday in his MOM performance to convince me he’s good enough to make a difference. I enjoy watching Mamo but Mata’utia looks to have a better all round game maybe.



On the subject of Reece Lyne who was also mentioned, what is his injury record like?

I've always preferred Bill Topou to Reece Lynn, but haven't seen much of Trinity recently, and missed last nights game.

I’m a Tupou fan but last night was his second game back after a knee reconstruction, and now he’s out for the season again. A bit of a risk, as much as it is bad luck for him.

The Wakey three quarter line gets a lot of injuries.

But Chris Riley (and Rhys Williams for a season) scored a lot of tries playing outside him and they weren't beneficiaries of the Briers bombs in the way that Hicks, King and Monaghan were.

Holmes always seems to play well in the big games and stands up to be counted when it matters.



Matautia looks a really good centre. Strong and solid.

Percival didn’t get a look in last night. Doesn’t take a backward step and best of all,

always ready to be first in when a bit of biff looks likely.

Matautia doesn't seem to like that little grub Bentley, so he has gone up in my estimation.
