Unfortunately true, although I'm hoping for a proper game next week than some half baked attempt.



It would be good for us to try and get a run going despite our points going to zero and there's always a potential bonus of keeping you guys a further two points away from 4th and a late tilt at a GF

Can't understand why some of you guys are still pessimistic about the outcome of the middle 8's. You stuck 50 past us, so how do you think we Leigh fans feel about our chances?





I thought we were very poor - but I guess you play as well as you are allowed to, and your enthusiasm levels were way above ours. I too have seen a re-run of the tries, and have to agree that they were top-notch - especially Lineham's.

Well I think you had a few players missing and were already in the red zone - we were still deluding ourselves we could escape. That may have been the difference in attitude.

Once the 8's start everyone has 0 points and its a new ball game.

I really hope that this wins gives us the confidence to go on and play to our potential in the middle 8’s. We need to go out there, play like we care, put this relegation thing to bed and look forward to next season.



I don’t think anyone enjoys seeing the team get beat like it has done this season… Smith, for all the flak he has been given, is also probably hurting as much as the fans… His professional pride must have took one hell of a beating this season.



Maybe he can get some new blood in around him coaching wise, get some new players in and we can start to improve again…. I certainly needs to happen if he is to stay in charge

Only seen the highlights, but that was the sort of play I expected t see at the start of the season, I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Harking back to the "Super League Every Minute Matters" thing from a few years ago, its actually quite apt for our game with Wigan - each clubs needing the points albeit for differing reasons, but in both cases to try to salvage a poor season.

Fantastic break by Ratchford but is shoving a player (even if offside) legal? Don't think it qualifies as a "hand off" as player was moving away, not trying to tackle.

See shoves like that every week when lazy oppositions players haven't made it back after a quick play the ball. As long as it's not a dangerous shove from behind (can only be done with one hand anyway) then I don't see a big problem with it. It was more of a push 'off' than an intent to push 'over'...

The "norm" seems to be to touch an offside player to milk the penalty. This seemed rather more "full on".
