Quote the flying biscuit="the flying biscuit"The NRL was formed in 1997 by the way. You beat an ARL side.
Maybe you aren't so well informed on the world club Challenge due to only being in it that one year, where as Wire have been involved in it in 1997, 2015, and 2017. In fact we beat Brisbane in the 2017 world club series Kevin Brown had a ripper of a game that day....
Back when you won the trophy it was so good and so important they couldn't be bothered playing for it the following year, this continued throughout the 1990's where they only bothered playing it 4 times in the whole decade. And then in 2000 it became the pre season warm up game we all love so much.
come on its a bobbins game the Aussies hate it....'"
Don't talk rubbish man! I can tell you from having lived over in Australia that they don't hate it at all. I think you're confusing some clubs not wanting to travel pre season with a disinterest in the competition. That's purely a question of prioritisation and is understandable given the monetary value of their domestic competition which is far in excess of our own.
If you believe what you have written here, explain the 54,000 that packed the Suncorp for Wigan's visit there or the 32,000 in Sydney when we took on the Roosters. Bigger crowds than anything outside our GF or CC final and bigger crowds than anything we've managed in the same competition apart from the Leeds game at Ellend Road.
As a fan, the best 2 victories I've ever had the pleasure of watching were the inaugural game against Manly and the aforementioned away win against Brisbane. At club level very few games have even come close. I dare say that had your club been involved in similar games that you would be saying the same.
