Can Sims not be for Monaghan?

I'd have him in but with the transfer fee I don't think he's worth the gamble considering that at his age we'd only get three years max out of him. I don't think the "he's had loads of time out with bans" line holds any water, even if it is tongue in cheek. There was talk that we'd get more out of Rauhihi because he came to the game later than most and, well, I don't really want to revisit what for me was possibly the biggest let down in my time supporting the wire. We'd have unrivalled strength in depth if we signed him as well as Moi Moi and Wheeler though.

At 31 I would be amazed if any RU Club came for him. It would take him 18 months at least to learn the game and where would he play? I'd take him on a 2 year contract, but I certainly wouldn't pay a fee.

What's that supposed to mean? I'm sure that there are plenty of cases that I wouldn't want to mess with, but, that doesn't mean I would want them to play for Warrington RLFC unless I felt compelled to tell them so just to prove a point
