| Quote Colin_Fishwick="Colin_Fishwick"You obviously didnt attend games at Wilderspool.
On a very good day circa 7k and as an average circa 4k.
Average attendances at the HJ are now probably circa 11k. It would be interesting to see what attendances would be within a couple of years if Warrington started to struggle.'"
And you obviously cant read. I said attendances have barley changed since we moved to the HJ. And as a season ticket holder for 40 years, I think I attended rather a lot of games at Wilderspool thanks mate.

| All sports clubs offer discounts on season tickets. I don't think it shows disrespect to supporters who just pick their game and pay on the gate. I cannot conceive of a sensible business policy that would entail charging less for those who pay match-by-match than for those prepared to commit and give the club some advance cash flow.
The real lesson here is to work to ensure that the club's profit and loss account stays in the black each year. As others have said, in the case of the Bulls it's probably a combination of accumulated losses caused by spending to the full cap for too long without sufficient off-the-field income to keep them in profit.

| Considering all the glory hunting supporters at Bradford have disappeared the average attendance during 2011 was 14,715 and it was 12,736 in 2005 when they last won SL.
Don't understand your point?

| I can't see many similarities between ourselves and the Bulls. The Bulls led the way in the Super league era, increasing crowds and bringing in big names, not many were able to compete with them during their glory years, whilst progress both on an off the field for the Wire was a gradual process. The big differences we now own our own ground that generates income, not draining finance like the Bulls. We haven't had a Iyestin (sp) Harris type saga which basically screwed the Bulls. We are well managed and have a major financial backer, although like any sports club owner their future involvement can not be guaranteed.
A question for Colin were you one of the previous life members at Wilderspool?
Everyone has a choice to buy a season ticket, not all want or can afford it or will pick their games. No big deal really.

No you're not. You're giving an opinion. As both Seb and myself have said Bradford were stuffed by the Iestyn Harris Affair and a substantial percentage of Warrington's income is from non-rugby activities. You cannot compare us with Bradford.
I would also add that I am currently not a season ticket holder. I was in 2010, but last year and this I simply can't get to enough home games to justify buying one. That doesn't mean that the club doesn't look after me, it simply means that if I want to go to one of the bigger games at the HJ then I have to be smart and order my ticket in good time. I have always found that the staff have looked after my interests, after all it's in their best interest to keep me happy.

| Correct me if i'm wrong ,but my memory of Bradford is of a team that for many years finished bottom of the league or thereabouts. Weren't they only made into a top team to suit Sky & the Superleague era with a view to Bradford/Leeds/Saints & Wigan expected to stay at the top of the pile for the foreseeable future ?

| Just a few points.
I'm no Alan Sugar, but, this club is on the up!
We have an excellent current squad, we're starting to challenge REGULARLY for silverwear, and we have good youngsters coming through. All boding well for the future. I'd say that's going to pretty much assure we get healthy attendances, which means great turnover.
We see plenty of people (on NON match days) walking round the town in the club's leisure wear/kit, which would suggest our marketing dept. are on the ball.
We have a lifelong fan (and Warringtonian) as our benefactor, who's making more money than you can shake a stick at. I'll confidently predict that he's going nowhere.
We currently have the best coach the club's had in over 30 years. I can't see us going into "serious decline", anytime soon, SO, come the fateful day when Mr Smith eventually does leave (not for a very long time, please), I'd imagine his replacement will be of similar stature.
And finally. Colin. I've said this before. Have you EVER posted anything positive about our club. All I ever read from you is doom and gloom. Did you ever play a Scottish undertaker in Dad's Army? No....he'd be more upbeat.

What about the ordinary longstanding fan who cant commit to a ST? Well I can tell you that If you don't commit to a ST then watching Warrington becomes very expensive.
'"
Doesn't every professional sports club do this regards discount for the ST holders?
What's your point?
Quote Colin_Fishwick="Colin_Fishwick"
Then the club will realise that punishing the ordinary fan was a very foolish approach.

There is a saying that you should respect everyone on your way up as your sure to encounter them on your way back down. Warrington Wolves should sit up and take notice before its too late.

Exactly I dont have a ST due to 3 young kids and wife working funny shifts so I go when I can I dont think £18.50 is exactly a rip off if I recall its one of the cheapest tickets in the league, even widnes are charging £20 to warch that shower of poop
