Tonight was Mathers worst performance in his two years at Warrington, not sure if he was still feeling the effects of that injury, very poor.

Mathers would never take the place of a fully fit Hodgson. The problem is he will be 32 when he joins us. How often over the next 2 years is he going to be fully fit?

I trust yesterday has put this argument to bed. Mathers was absolutely shambolic coupled to the fact that if we had a reliable kicker the game would probably have been won.

The one thing Hodgson will bring to the Wolves is someone who can regularly kick penalties and goals - alas something you are sadly lacking this - and last -season.



How many games would the extra two points have made the difference? Why doesnt chicks take the kicks?

Apparently goal kicking aggrevates an old injury for Hicks.

can't wait for hodgson to sign now actually got a regular goal kicker which we are lacking. no offence but a fullback main priorities are to organise defensive line what mathers does well, able to catch bombs and run the ball as far back as possible and one on one tackling. mathers struggles to catch bombs (may be down to confidence) and against senior yesterday was awful.
