| Quote Wires71="Wires71"Has he got the skill and guile to break the line with ball in hand though? That is what we need from a halfback together with a ball playing LF in my view.'"
Probably not i dont think he has the footwork that Tomkins has however he makes up on this by running great lines which lead to his try on friday. Atleast 3 times a game he will get smashed by trying to hit gaps but he keeps trying to do it and eventually will get rewarded.
Im not sure if we need a LF as Monaghan and Briers can set up a line break. Look at Leeds they are similar to us as they have Burrow and Sinfield who can create the line break and Mcguire will support the break line Myler.

McGuire creates more line breaks for Leeds than the other two.
When Briers eventually does retire I think Myler will develop his all round game like McGuire has done and will be your main go to player, he is naturally very talented and would thrive on the extra responsibility. Briers is very demanding in terms of if he wants the ball he gets it.
The only thing is next year you will have Hodgson, he comes into the line often at 2nd receiver and plays a half backs roll. Myler may see the ball even less.
You definately won't need a ball playing LF.

You have echoed my thoughts supremely. To have a ball playing loose would confuse the on field direction greatly.

Now 15 tries in 19 league games and 11 assists after the Wakey game
20 tries in 22 games including CC this season.

| myler in my opinion is not ready for the big big game yet ,hes still very young .his defence is weak ,good support player but warrington have enough of them .smith should go with the older heads in the final ,wood higham anderson solamona bench for me ,clarke at 9 and monaghan at 7 for 20 mins same as the semi .

It's not though is it? It's more than adequate and he has knack of stealing the ball one on one. We don't have others in the team who can support up the middle as well as he can from that position.
He was targeted by Les Cats in Perpigan but bar that he has been fine. I could understand if you wanted to bring him of the bench but you are utterly stark raving mad to leave him out entirely.

Don't understand why he is a waste of a bench spot. Would be good to bring on towards the end of the game, when it becomes more broken. We would normally have a number nine on the bench, and this gives us the option to move the number nines around to freshen up the play the ball.
