| Quote just_browny="just_browny"Not sure you can blame McDermott for that, I think Buderus has been a massive waste of time for Leeds since he signed. The cup semi-final last year was the only game I've seen in which he has really shown anything like what he used to produce for Newcastle, NSW and Australia.'"
I expected buderus to be possibly the greatest overseas signing in SL history..... How wrong I was.... He has been a shadow of his former self since that bicep tear before he came over.

| got a couple of decisions wrong early on for both sides,thought he reffed the second half well,keeps the game going for both sides with a biased and vociferous crowd on his back,better than the steve ganson show and a penalty every two minutes.

| We had the best of the decisions imo, but Leeds did little to help themselves with their moaning etc.

Funny that, in the past I bemoaned the fact that generally this is the case for the best team in most sports. In RL Leeds, Saints and Wigan, when on top, always got the calls. I remember when it appeared, to my primrose and blue eyes, that Saints were allowed to pass the ball forward.
I've seen a few games this season where we have had the majority of the calls. Not seen too many threads on here complaining about refs. Most threads seem to indicate that the fans don't even care who the ref is.
Long may this continue. Lets have every team in SL complaining about the ref when we play them, tells you something.

[size=150the missed conversion fiasco[/size,
not getting the try on the big screen,
a lot of the lying on,
not stamping out a lot of leed's players dummy spitting. (was mebarrassing at times)
plus a lot he let slide for Wire at key times
We was't as bad as Ganson has been in the past and probably isn't worthy of a thread dedicated to him but he made some major cock ups throughout.
It is foolish to say otherwise.'"
what was this? I was at the fame an didn't notice a problem? Hodgson only missed 1; are you saying it went over?

| No, he's on about the fact that Ali Lauwhateverhisnameis actually tried to charge the ball down. He'd moved forward a good 20 metres when Hodgson struck the ball. The ref warned him, but as Eddie said, he could have given Brett a second shot.

It did anoy me, the refs can be so pedantic in certain situations, like a quick 20m restart, then ignore other infringements. Once you start letting things like that go you end up with players starting to flout the rules.
What's next? I bet it wont be long before we see a player repeatedly slam the ball into the ground whenever he makes a mistake, and not get punished at all. I remember the days when our sport was respected, was held up as a beacon that all others would aspire to, because this kind of behaviour was not tolerated.
