I remember taking one of those hard plastic footy's flush in the nuts when i was about 13...I was playing 'wallie (sp)'... I wellied the ball as hard as i could at the wall, it hit the kerb instead and ricocheted right back at me and hit me flush in the stones..... the pain was incredible.... i reckon i lay on the floor by the side of the road for over an hour.... God knows how Wood played on with that injury... shocking stuff.

I think he'll be fine to carry on playing and he might get an implant.

Fans and players alike will joke about this, wouldn't be surprised if he does get a terrace song related to this but one thing you can't deny is that Wood is one tough muddy funster.



If that guy can play 40 mins of rugby with a busted nut, there's no way i'd mess with him.

Was it handled okay on the Wright Stuff.... i get that Woody and the team will probably have a laugh and a joke about it but I was pretty annoyed at the 'nobody's' on Key 103's breakfast show making jokes about it this morning.

He was on the phone on 5 Live Drive about 30 minutes ago, having a good laugh with the presenters about it!

Been on the phone on talkSPORT today too. Keys and Gray were very respectful and had huge respect for him as a man and our sport as a sport.
