I, for one, thought he spoke incredibly well and couldn’t fault him. I think it’s a brilliant idea and says loud and clear that everybody is welcome in Rugby League.

I'm neither going to condemn nor condone Folau's beliefs. They're his. Not mine. Imo he's simply an attention seeker. He's taken some words, written a couple of millennia ago and whipped up a social media storm. The handwringers have took exception to it, an it's cost him a lot in wages. Silly lad, or maybe money is not his God, and he accepts the loss of dosh.



mark_m has quoted Folau's forewarnings. They really are quite funny. So God's wrath has been enraged in Australia because of gays, and He's brought bushfires and drought on the country, as vengeance.... hilarious. I'd say these have been brought on by extreme heat. These events have happened for centuries, and is the norm in East Coast Australia, not because homosexually has risen down under, since Folau got his Twitter account rolling. He's making himself look like a plonker. Let him carry on.

Just as a side issue, I wonder if some of the moral high ground taking Wire fans were as equally APPALLED when Marcus Bai was regularly called Marcus Bisexual by the South Standers, and Lesley Vainikolo was treated to chants of "Lesley is a girl's name", back in the day.

Strictly speaking “Lesley” is generally considered to be a girl’s name “”Leslie” is the usual spelling for boys. I can’t be bothered looking up which way his name was actually spelled / spelt.

Unfortunately that’s exactly what it is and Wigan deserve no praise at all. On live 5, Lenagan also confirmed Wigan’s interest in signing Folau but the salary cap prevented them from being able to do so. So Wigan have gone from wanting to sign Folau themselves to now being against the whole thing. Pathetic from them.
