i dont think they should be cutting all the sunday night busses as what about people that live in areas such as birchwood or culcheth. i live in cinnamon brow so would get the 26/27 bus but im fortunate my dad attends most games so i have a lift home. These busses are only one every hour anyway.

If Gina was still here, i'd expect the club to try and turn this into a postive by suggesting/promoting some kind of Warrington Wolves Carpool scheme.

Seems strange to axe them completely, why not cut them back to one every hour, or even just one bus per route after a certain time, effectively turning it into a circular or something similar.

I normally agree with most things you say on this board 71, but this is so wide of the mark, it's untrue. Do the elderly, infirm, cash strapped (that they can't afford to hire a cab, let alone afford to run a car) deserve a place in your world. Or is it "I'm all right, Jack"

No it's not that. A line does have to be drawn on what is effective use of a limited resource - i.e) tax payer revenues. We cannot continue to spend more than we earn as a country so cuts have to be made (unless you want to pay more tax).



Presumably these services have been cut by the council because the demand was so low in comparison to the costs. For example it may be the Sunday evening services cost the council 10% of the "bus subsidy spend" but only deliver 0.5% (if that) of the passenger numbers. Also the working week services have much more value as they are essential to take people to work. The services on the weekend are also aligned to retail opening times so as not to damage consumer spending in the town.



In answer to your question - of course they deserve a place in the world, but sometimes you can't always get what you want from the public sector for free - infirm, poor, elderly, young, and able bodied included.
