When oh when will the authorities - be it Olympics or Wembley - get the ticketing sorted out.

As if.



I didn't want to be in the 3rd tier and tried to get into the lower tier - 4 seats.

No chance.



Yet - lo and behold - looking down from on high there were many empty 'groups of 4' seats, and in the third tier lierally hundreds of spare seats in the middle of the tier.



Overall - very underwhelmed by all of this - and the only thing that spoiled the day.



Now if I want seats for the GF what do people recommend?

I reckon just ring the RFL and ask them what's the crack

Just because nobody was sat in them on the day, doesnt mean the tickets weren't sold. The blocks of seats could easily have been for an organisation who got them for free and simply couldnt be bothered.

The empty sets were purchased by Wigan fans who could not sell their tickets.

Yes - that could be the case, but if it's the latter it's a poor show - just like the Olympics

Again i'll say it, don't care, i was there, the atmosphere was great and my weekend was brilliant, the people who could have filled the seats are the ones that missed out.

We had about 4 empty seats in our row block 108 lower tier

I'm assuming you bought your tickets from the club. If you bought them on the RFL website you could have got four together in the lower tier easily.



The RFL website always states in advance who is going to be in which end so you know as soon as you win the semi where you want to be buying tickets, and they do the same for the Grand Final too. No need to purchase from the club whatsoever.

What about the GF - is it the same situation?

Yes, you can buy, and have been able to buy, lower tier tickets for a few months now.

For the CC, drove back from Salford, saw that the RFL site was in full working order (I tried to get on the day before after the first semi, but Wigan fans checking up on the refunding policy must have clogged it up...), clicked on the block I wanted in the lower tier, paid, done. Simple.

We were on the back row of block 520. The row in front of us was occupied, but the twelve or so in front of that one were completely deserted.



Still, the view was good (though player identification was tricky at times), plus there was a little step behind to put your beer on, we could stand up for the whole match without annoying anyone else and we didn't get soaked.



And the lad sat next to us with his airhorn who spent the first fifteen minutes on his phone went down to sit in one of the empty rows.



So, all good, really

just sit down, enjoy the game, be glad and thankful you are there and not worry about those empty seats!
