| How must he be feeling now? He said he joined Warrington because he thought he would win trophies,it didn't happen so he left. Then we win 2 challenge cups. If I was him I think I would be feeling pretty filthy with myself this morning!

| All true but Wigan needed a centre, Wire did not need a Gleeson who had stopped playing for us, £100k sweetened the pill and Mathers was a bonus. Gleeson has come pretty close to a trophy with the pies already last year, and they are not finished yet this season. I reckon his transfer was good business for both clubs.

| I'd imagine Gleeson would be happy that some of his ex-team-mates and personal friends have experienced success, all hinged with a twinge of regret that he's not a part of it.

| Poor old Martin Gleeson,
Oh what can it mean
We've won at Wembley (twice)
And you weren't in the team !!!!
Rotten apple, never gave the impression that he ever wanted to be at Wire, not even on the day he signed

| But Wigan finished top?? Which takes 27 games, not just 5?? Going to every away ground in the league,. and playing every single team at home, against all styles, played in all conditions. There is a far more satisfying and complete feeling when finishing top of the league that winning a cup doesn't give you. Winning the league is the hardest achievement in the game.
Either way, congrats on the victory yesterday, not many club's fans have the feeling of winning the Challenge Cup 2 years in a row, you're making history, make sure you appreciate it.

Yet when Tony Smith said last year we have got one next we are going for both he wasn't talking about a tin plate.
Give me the Challenge Cup over a plate everyday of the week.

He said that because after finishing 10th, you were never goona be good enough to finish top, he knows however that you can win a few cup games here and there.
Anyone can raise there game every so often for a cup game. You should know that. Yes I agree the Challnge Cup does look better than the Super League Leaders Shield but in football the Johnstone's Paint Trophy looks better than the World Cup.

Winning the shield is certainly an achievement, and I agree that over the whole season to date Wigan have been the best side. However, no-one, not even Wiganers, would prefer to win the shield over the Challenge Cup. There's just too much history, prestige and glory in the sport's oldest knock-out competition.
