Sorry to bring this up again as i know we've discussed it loads on other threads, But apart from the Joe Bullock rumour, has anybody heard anything at all on a possible new prop?

I know powell wouldn't have let Hill walk if we didn't have plans in the pipeline for 1 or 2 new props, but it's deafeningly quiet on the rumour front.

I've asked 4 rugby journalist's who are usually in the know if they have heard anything and all 4 have said not a whisper.

So i'm scratching my head as to who we could be bringing in......if anybody. Which would be absolutely worst case scenario in my oppinion.

I've heard that we're after an NRL prop but he has other options.

The twitter and facebook rumour is Luke Thompson. Cant see it myself, but lots of people are mentioning it.

Can't see it either, wouldn't fit under the cap unless Wests part funded his salary, and they have already put that rumour to bed I think?



We're pretty good at pulling a signing out of left field under the radar of the RL journo's though.

Would be amazing if Wests funded some of his salary seeing as he plays for the Bulldogs. Anyway that aside, this simply cannot happen due to the salary cap. We already have 2 marquee players so let’s not get all giddy game show. Can’t see how we can afford a decent prop so it’s going to be a real Achilles heel in 2022 IMHO.

Given the injuries our recent new signings for next season have had, please don't mention "new prop" and "achilles" in the same sentence.....

I really doubt we will make any further big money signings, another like Mulhern would do nicely for me. I like Matty English at Huddersfield, I expect he would be in quite high demand though.

A lot of clubs do. He's out of contract in 12 months, I'd be amazed if he's not in the NRL or at Saints/Leeds/Wire/Wigan.

He looks every bit good enough doesn't he. I hope we sign him, he'd be a great coup I feel and a future pack leader. Plus it would stoke the how big is wires cap fires, where fans of rival clubs massively exaggerate all of our players salaries.
