Last year I noticed people selling "Referee Radios" around Wembley. I was tempted to buy one just for the fun of it but after re mortgaging my house to enjoy a portion of chips I decided against it.



Did anyone get one? Recommend it?

depends really, personal opinion, when these are on sale, the refs don't talk anywhere near as much to players as on sky games, you could always get a mate to shout



"MOOOOOOVE" at you from a few seats away and save yourself 5 quid.

Thinking about it I probably won't buy one.



Last year the woman sat behind me screeched from start to finish so much so that I couldn't hear anything other than referee based abuse.

I got one. Not for the ref but for the BBC commentary, I thought it was quite good.

A very kind Quins fan gave me one at Murrayfield on the basis that he wouldn't be able to use it cos 'we won't make any finals' and also said he hoped we win not wigan.

My m8 got one when when we was watched england v bangledesh (cricket) is better suited to that game as you dont have the noise like you have at a GF/CC

Anybody known what frequency they broadcast on. Would any small radio work? Notice that on the highlights of the wakefield v wolves match on the club website you can hear the refs radio messages as the audio track

its the referee's radio signal which is a private secure band, i believe kirkpatrick said.

Get one, they are a fiver and you can re use them at all major finals, i got one last year and only listned to the bbc ie davies and woods when play was stoped or video ref was called upon. It just gives you a bit more of an insight as to what is going on. How many times have we taped a match, got home and watched and listned to the debate or discusion on why something was allowed or not.
