I never thought I'd see the day when we beat Saints 6 times in a row. Well done Wire.
I don't think it was just individual brilliance. We had them blowing through all of their holes in the second half, mostly due to the work Vaughan, Musgrove, Fitz and Harrison did to get them on the back foot. Compared to the game two weeks ago, our pack was much more dominant but clearly the knocks Saints picked up in the game helped with that too. Still think the game would have blown out if we had managed to score from the Ashton breaks (although I think those also took juice out of Saints).
Yes those 4 you mentioned were really good, together with Yates. When Vaughan returned we got a real lift just at the right time. Holroyd seemed to be everywhere too.
Even though we did not score from Ashton's breaks (and he should have done better with the 1st on surely) it put Saints back 70 or 80m.
If we keep that defensive resolve, start to find form with our attack, coupled with Sneyd's positional kicking, cut out the silly errors , we will give anyone a game.
