I have no bad words against the youngsters, they have been the highlight of the year for me! Watching them forge their rugby careers with Salford has been wonderful, shame it had to take what happened to the club make them look at the babies, Alan Hunte and his staff have been doing a great job for a number of years. It means the club have built a great and exciting foundation for years to come.



The other seasoned pro's bar Gleeson can all go for me as they are not good enough, as stated that's why we are where we are and have been for years!

Big surprise the Salford Star puts a particular slant on a story and fills the article with barely concealed conspiracy theories. But look at this in cold hard financial terms. The council pay Mr Vickers £134k, which when you add on employers pension and NI contributions take the cost to the council over £160k pa. so they pay him off saving half his salary in the first year and £160k pa thereafter. That's how the system works. Does anybody expect then that Mr Vickers wouldn't go out and find a new job, if he doesn't he's pretty quickly out of pocket. The Council is making a significant saving, no issues for me.

Yes all the accolades for now giving us the chance to finish bottom of the pile. Like I said they are not mercenaries and are getting paid a good wage for being distinctly average so take your rose tinted glasses off

Stanley is right. How you can praise a team of players who could finish bottom of the pile is ridiculous. Forget not giving 100% because they knew they might be out of a job. Fact is they are paid professionals if they don't give their all then they are a disgrace,simple.
