| Would we as the team he has signed for next season be able to assess already what the extent of his injury is?

| The article states 6 months to recover: February 2015.
May be worth waiting for the recovery as he has talent.

| Depending on the grade of ACL injury BJB has, 6 months could be the earliest with the longest looking like 10 months. Kieran Dixon suffered a similar injury last October and only this month will play his first game on dual-reg for Hemel – 10 months on. Good news is that he has age on his side and I am sure the best medical support Marwan can afford. I think it’s a little premature to consider voiding the contract, the kid a top talent and will be worth the sweat over.

| Very premature to be predicting the outcome I know, but he may never be the same again pace wise if the injury is at the more serious end of the scale.

| There won't be a clause in his contract allowing Salford to cancel/void the contract because of this or any injury that is recoverable from. No player would sign such a contract for this very reason. He was physically fit when Salford signed him, presumably Salford's physio team undertook a medical when he signed.
I also find it a bit bizarre to write off a player because he's suffered an injury that takes 6 months to recover from when it's 7/8 months until he's needed to play for Salford. Yes it'll affect his pre-season but lots of things affect players pre-seasons such as internationals or minor surgery needed in the off-season.
He's a quality winger who can play full back too. This injury won't affect that or him beyond the first couple of weeks of next season.

| I hope we have wrote something into the contract, with regards injury while still playing for leeds.
If im honest i think this might be a injury to far for him, along with what he has already gone through.
Cut our loses for me and say thanks but no thanks, sorry and all that.

| Pretty shameful, disgraceful and distasteful lack of support for a player who has overcome some unpleasant injuries in the past.

I bet he's impressed with the overwhelming support.

| It's likely that the standard contract says that he has to be fit to play when the contract starts, and it hasn't started yet.
However, with something like this it's unlikely any club would cancel it at this stage,as it would affect players signing in the future.
I also believe that these contracts have a cancellation clause if a player is out for a pre determined time, even when under contract.

Exactly.
I find it remarkable that fellow Salford supporters are suggesting we should look for a way to leave a young man out of work because he has an injury. I trust that the club will be more compassionate than the supporters clearly are.

If your career in medicine doesn't take off, may I suggest that you transfer your attentions to Contract Law you seem to have a certain flair for it. If that doesn't work out you need to find an Eric Morecambe for your Ernie Wise writing skills
Shameful comment

| What I always worry about with severe injuries of this type is that when a player does come back they are cautious of the affected area and over compensate and risk injuries in other areas as a result.
Genuinely hope he makes a 100% quick recovery as a fully fit BJB in a Salford shirt is something I never thought I'd see.
