Totally different kettle of fish. They were special players that don't come around everyday, we just don't have the quality in our junior ranks at this current time if we did I'm sure we'd be playing them.

Are these players worst than Ian Watson who is 38, retired and lets be honest a very average player in his prime?

Obviously they are at this moment in time otherwise they would have been offered a full time contract and selected to play. They haven't been so they obviously aren't quite ready. That's not to say in 6 months, 12 months, 18 months or 24 months they won't be, but as it currently stands they aren't quite there.



Plus Ian Watson is old enough and experienced enough not to let the crowd/occasion get on top of him as much as a young 16 year old playing in front of fans who expect their team to win and expect them to perform would. It would IMO be catastrophic to throw a kid into a super league game with minimal experience of playing against 19/20 year olds never mind international rugby league football players.

Sorry, let me make myself absolutely clear that I'm all for throwing kids in, but only at the right time. Throwing a youngster into a squad with 15 first team players unavailable isn't the right time.

Comparing exceptional one-off talent with anyone else is stretching it even for you.

This whole situation with Godwin and Watson is a total embarrassment for the RFL as it highlights the short sightedness of no reserve grade competition. Perhaps you should DR with one of the Championship teams rather than bringing back Watson who hasn't been capable of playing at this standard for about 10 years.

I imagine we are registering Watson as a contingency plan incase any more of our half backs get injured. I doubt he will play tbh. If he does he knows how we play which could be important. I think the club may also be registering him to show how desperate the club really are to the RFL. They might even stop banning all out players but I doubt that!

Honestly think people need too stop this bleating about Salford players getting banned.



Sorry Chase was a moron for what he did, it was deliberate, Patterson also was foolish when he attacked the Leigh players last week and 3 games isn't unfair.

Right there are 3 players who would make Sundays game less possible win into a more certain will win.



It is not the RFL's fault these players will miss the game, it is the players themselves who are at fault.

I don't think no one is against the fact these players did wrong i think it's more The RFL and there inconsistent approach with there dealings of certain cases. We just seem to be the ones who are being mainly punished for this. Eg someone from Hull KR blatant shoulder charge 1 match ban. Jewitt blatant high shot the other week absolute nothing! Consistency is all we want.

What the RFL deals out to players of other clubs doesn't matter too Salford.



Just except that the RFL are dire and deal with it.
