Peter Brown. Another name from the past. The only thing I remember about him was him playing against Salford in a 2nd Division Grand Final at The Piggery, and him blobbing Mick Dean when it kicked off after the hooter had sounded.

Sadly, he missed five kicks at goal in the '88 Lancashire Cup final.

Oh aye. Goal kicking prop. I've a feeling he was a Kiwi international, but wouldn't swear to it.

Yes, he earned a fair few caps for NZ.

On that day at Featherstone,his last try was in injury time and won us the match.

It was a blatant forward pass.

The crowd went berserk and the ref looked at his linesman who waved play on.

What the crowd didn't know was the linesman has supported Salford all his life !

In fairness to him,he is as straight as a dye and was convinced it was legal.
