| Quote Early Bath="Early Bath"Measty - very hard to defend a coach who suggested in the media that the RFL should throw the book at Rangi.'"
Rangi did Ferres with a very cheap shot and has previous over a number of years for doing this not only with Cas and yourselves but he did it when representing England. It didn't take Anderson speaking out about the incident to get the book thrown at him. Ferres was seriously injured, Rangi on plain view to the cameras comes in late for what ever reason he only knows and puts Ferres's ankles is a very dangerous position and on seeing the evidence after reviewing the game the RFL threw the book at him with a 7 gane ban, some would say he got away with it with only getting 7 games.
As for Anderson's comments I see nothing wrong with them, he wants us to be more physical than the last time we played where it was clear we were bullied and we owe you one for the two points you took off us at the John Smiths. Reading anything else into his comments is delusional.

| The main reason Brett Ferres got badly injured in that tackle was due to Junior Sau simultaneously pushing backwards. The tackle he made wasn't a good one but I don't think he set out to injure Brett. Andersons comment are puerile and inflammatory.
Watch most games and there are late tackles when a third man comes in. Tautai did about three in a Sky game about two weeks ago but nobody has come screaming to the media about those!

| If you can't see the difference between what chase did- one journalist described him as a wolf circling his prey- and a third man coming in to help complete a tackle id give up watching the game if I were you.
Chase tried to apologise to ferres after the game- ferres was reluctant to accept that apology- your owner made a big song and dance in the press ( ) about how the two were friends and how he was sorry- your owner publicly tweeted ferres just an hour before they went into the disciplinary- then went in front of the disciplinary and plead not guilty to the charge. If he had shown true remorse he could well be playing tonight....

| Chase got his tackle wrong, no doubt about it, but the intent to deliberately injure Ferres wasn't there. Watch the way the Salford team tackle this evening, more often than not you will see two men up high and then one will come in and take the legs. As mentioned above, the reason for the injury to Ferres was that Junior Sa'u who was also in the tackle pushed him back in the opposition way to how Chase was tackling.

| Quote jools="jools"Hoew is wanting to rally your troops pathetic - surely that's part of a coaches job??
Ferres was reluctant to accept Chases apology in the bar after the game - perhaps that's because he thinks it was done on purpose, -being an ex teammate Id hazard a guess he knows him better than many.'"
Rally the troops, that's fine. The pathetic part is that an unintentional injury seems to be Anderson focus and something he cant let go. His actions are a little embarrassing, I don't recall Harris ranting that we owe Catalans one for the shoulder charge on Fages last year that made him fit, unfortunately injuries are part of the game and you just have to get on with it and stop bleating.

The tackle was particularly reckless and like it or not chase could have CHOSEN to join that tackle in a different way- by tackling from the side where he was originally stood- he CHOSE to move round to the other leg- that was reckless and a deliberate choice. That deliberate choice caused an injury. Whether he intended to cause injury YOU can't possibly say- only one person truly knows. But the intention to tackle that leg was clear.
You lot and your "everyone is against us" bleating. Get over yourselves. As for harris not ranting- Nope he can't get a word in edgewise for your owner who never stops. Koukash writes his own column where he never stops ranting. But you all crow and weep and complain when a journalist blows another coaches comments out of proportion. Pathetic.

Jools, I agree that the Anderson's comments have been taken out of proportion, Anderson did not use the word revenge once, only the reporter did in the report. As for the tackle being intentional or not, this is up for debate but Rangi is not the brightest player in the world and probably did not realise what he was doing. There are very few players who go out on the pitch to intentionally hurt someone and personally I don't think Rangi tackled him thinking yes an opportunity here to break his ankle! It was unfortunate and he is paying the price for it.

| It doesn't matter what we as fans think of Anderson's comments. The focus in the media is on stirring it up for a hopefully a bit of controversy. Anderson's comments are sloppy and ill-thought because they can be taken out of context so easily. This allows the media to create a potential 'story' from nothing. All Anderson had to do was comment on the focus his side needs and not leave open-ended comments free to be interpreted however anyone wants. This is the problem I have with him, and the fact that he only ever sees things one way and dismisses similar acts committed by his own team. You couple this with his inability to be diplomatic and opening his mouth when it isn't required, and the media can have a field day.
He should concentrate on doing his job properly.

You're displaying a fine example of cognitive bias.
I can't be bothered with people who think that their answers are always right no matter what, and are unable to see both sides of a fence to deduce a fair overview.
