Well, after working in a fairly senior role at Tesco for the last 4 years, I can pretty much say that I'm certainly not treated like sh**e! I enjoy an industry-leading, award winning pension scheme, staff discount, free shares, save as you earn shares, buy as you earn shares, free life insurance: the list goes on. NB. these are available to ALL staff, by the way. Don't forget, Tesco employs more than 295k staff in the UK, (largest private sector employer in Europe, I believe) and more than 500k worldwide - it's pretty difficult to satisfy all those people all of the time.



In relation to workfare, Tesco weren't the only retailer involved, (Sainsburys?) and I recall that we confirmed that anyone taking up a placement would be taken on permanently if they did a good job: don't see what the problem with that is??



Regarding Mondays' meeting, I'll certainly try to attend if at all possible.

I'm working in Birmingham on Monday but hope to be able to get back in time for the meeting.



Good questions from Barton flyer I gues I'd add:

- how genuine is the current interest from possible investors

- what is the current board's position in relations to the debt their owed? Would/could/will they take the hit if it secured the club's future?

- if a new buyer isn't found will we be able to have a team in SL next season?

Working till 7pm Monday as it's my busiest week of the year so might struggle to make it though I'm going to try.



I'd ask if the players who are leaving are just being released or if we are getting fees for them? seems odd when we have a dwindling squad to release more first teamers and is Sidlow the last one?

Has there been any form of discussion with Sale about a joint sporting venture with Kennedy involved?

Do we think there were any personal axes being ground when the council vetoed the loan? 1 in particular who is very local seems to be running headlong into a massive show down with Peel over it's proposed development of Worsley New Hall into a gold course and hotel.

When can we realistically expect season ticket news?

I attach my question to the Chairman, I am not able to attend as I cannot change other arrangements. It will be interesting to see if it is answered.



The Chairman is on record as stating Salford have a 'short term cash problem' but after that we have solid plans which are viable and vetted. Will Mr. Wilkinson yell us the amount of the temporary short fall, presumably it is not he £1.5m loans requested. If we know the amount it will be easier to plan fund raising efforts and would not the issue of season tickets go a long way to meeting the gap? Do the 'solid plans' include the signing of new players?
