| Our two impressive victories over the Easter period against Huddersfield and Wigan are all that is keeping IH in a job at the moment. Prior to these, we had two narrow and nail biting home wins against Wakefield and Hull FC, a convincing win against an injury hit Widnes and of course the draw at Catalan after giving up a 20 point lead.
I wasn’t convinced he was the man of the job when he was appointed, his CV was poor and didn’t merit the opportunity. However I felt momentum was building towards Easter and the two results against Huddersfield and Wigan were fantastic, however since then we’ve lost 8 games on the bounce. Was Easter a fluke? Did we catch Wigan at a good time following their energy sapping game against St Helens just days before? Our improving defence and team spirit has long gone and is nowhere to be seen since.
I don’t want to us holding on to those two impressive wins over Easter as a reason to keep hold of Harris. He should be based on the season as a whole. Injuries are unfortunate but happen to all teams, our suspensions are above average and are a direct consequence of the style of defence IH is implementing. He takes full responsibility for those.
I’m in the camp of give him until the end of the season, judge him on the year as a whole. If our position hasn’t improved then unfortunately I could not argue with Koukash if he was to give him the boot.
I would also like to add; situations beyond Harris control are also contributing to the current downfall in our fortunes. Koukash’ treatment of TP and Kevin Locke has caused major issues amongst the oversea contingent within the squad. The likes of TP, Paterson, Locke, Sa’u, Tasi, Chase, Hauraki etc are all a close knit ‘clique’ and havent taken too kindly to the treatment of their friends. Would a more experienced head coach allow such to happen? Is IH too scared to give Koukash a piece of his mind. Probably and understandably so.

| Anyone just feeling like this at the moment? After the successful Easter victories, I genuinely felt we had turned a corner and were on our way to becoming a top 8 team. Since then we’ve had 8 straight defeats, dumped out the cup by a Championship team, watched our star players pick up lengthy suspensions for stupid acts, lost Taylor for 2016 (inevitable I know), lost Tasi, Koukash’ public embarrassment of Kevin Locke, Theo handing in a transfer request and still to sign up the likes of Paterson beyond the end of the season and no sign of any new signings for 2016.
Hopefully a win against Wakefield on Sunday will be the start of a mini-revival. I don’t even want to consider a defeat, which isn’t exactly unlikely given it will be Brian Smith first game in charge.
Sorry for the negative post, there just seems to be such a bad atmosphere around the club at the moment with next to no positivity!

| Feel exactly the same and have done for sometime JGB. I never feel anything really positive coming out of the club and with this Fages news it just gets worse. I feel concerned for the future right now mate

| We’re Salford fans, being negative and moaning is what we do best. We’re just use to it after years and years of mediocrity etc, but I feel it is fully deserved at the moment. As I say, a win this weekend will make everyone feel better but we know what happened last season when we went to Wakefield needing a win to keep our play-off hopes alive…

| It does feel like this club is cursed to fail. One step forward and two steps back seems a repetitive theme that creates frustration and negativity, generating criticism and counter defensive response.
Whether it's bad luck with injuries, self inflicted indiscipline, poor officiating decisions, harsh disciplinary action, unhappy players or washing our dirty laundry in public.
Surely at some point soon the fortunes of this club must change for the better.

| I'm really struggling with it too at the moment . Don't get me wrong , I've followed Salford since my dad took me in the late 70's early 80's and seem some dross but getting to the point at I was a while ago which was pure disillusionment. We've had some (on paper) great signings in the last 2 years but a serious of things , Fages being the latest is causing issues.
For example ,we had all the hot air about Hock not playing , getting sued etc when the realist was he played and contributed to us getting knocked out of the cup.
Locke and TP being treated pretty shabbily , Tasi being allowed to leave having only a 2 year deal ,numerous bans which although some were harsh , the players / staff need to take some accountability. This on top of fixture changes meaning we've had to miss matches through no fault of ours is honestly making me and others consider commiting to season tickets next year , especially with the recent £5 tickets.
I only look for improvement in the team throughout the season and at the moment ,sitting 2nd bottom , I don't see any.

| Dearie Me.
These negative posts are just under whelming. Surprised by you JGR here. What is it about Salford `fans`?
Surely we are men enough to understand what has gone on since Easter.
You know attitudes like this in 1940 would have us speaking German by 1941.
I hope all the moaners are there in strength on Sunday. The players NEED your support.

| And to cap it all off Salford Red Devils defence secretary appears again with his shiny red fire extinguisher to tell us we are all idiots for showing frustration at how things have gone this year.

EB, as a fans forum if we cant express our current views on here where can we? I’m sorry about the negativity, but after the last 8 weeks I am finding it impossible to be anything but. As I said, it isn’t just the results on the pitch it is what’s going on off it too.
I’ll be there Sunday, as always, hoping for a turn-around in fortunes.

Yes to my recollection no lines have been crossed. I can't recall any posts that make personal or discriminatory comments against any individuals at the club.
EB is always the first to react to the slightest evaluation of Iestyn Harris coaching credentials, but was never backwards at coming forward to attack Brain Noble at every opportunity.
I just feel as coach Harris has to ultimately take some responsibility for our poor disciplinary record this year, contributing significantly to a disappointing season.

| I've merged two topics because they generally talking about the same thing. I think what is interesting here is two different trains of thought. One, that Harris has deserved a shot at staying on until the end of the season and beyond, and another that says if we do not defeat Wakefield away, he should go. Interesting.

| It says in MEN that a return by Tim Sheens could happen. In whatever capacity I'd be happy perhaps in a more permanent or hands on role as he could possibly command more respect from the players due to vast experience ?? We'll never really know what has/is going on behind the scenes. Coach to go or not is a very tough call with lots of pro's and cons IMO, (of course 2 differing opinions on this), considering the season we are having as we all know. What happens if we don't stay up etc?? I can only pray the Dr sticks with us no matter what.
