Schofield was having a right go at Salford in today's Star on Sunday.



For those who didn't see it he slated your performance against Wigan whilst bigging them up and then dismissed Salford as 'dads army'.

Detracts from my view of the bloke.

He was a tremendous player,and now he's just a fat hack trying to be controversial.

It's nothing new.



He has a personal crusade to continue, the reasons have been mentioned plenty on here. The guy is just embarrassing now.

Exactly - The fact he is writing for a joke rag like the Star tells you all you need to know.



Because you are this season's story, you will always attract opinion from various angles, but Schofield is a cock and should be ignored.

Unfortunately he's right though. After the amount of publicity the chairman has created the team are looking over their shoulders at Bradford

I would say that is a fair viewpoint though. Some poor decisions made in the off season bringing in players like Meli and Morley.



Should be a different story for Salford next year.

It's nice to see he has had a change of attitude towards us (Cas). He had a reputation of being anti-Cas and I was near him at the Fev - Cas cup tie a couple of years back, when he was cheering Fev on to the hilt. If he wanted to cheer them on, to be fair that's his perogative, but some of the venom that came our way was totally uncalled for. Then again there were a couple of other well known RL figures and they adopted the same attitude.



He comes across to me as very embittered towards certain aspects of the modern game, and it is also evident that he does not like Aussie coaches, coaching over here. Maybe the fact that we are now coached by an old international team mate and friend of his, has something to do with his new attitude towards us. Incidentally his son also played with us in the second team for a while but never made it. I don't know whether that had a bearing on his previous enmity towards us, as I never could understand it.



I suppose with the new owner pouring money into your club, it now makes you a new target for him. As I have said in a previous post Dr MK, coming into our game cannot possibly be anything but good for it, but unfortunately jealousy is a funny thing, and many don't see it that way.
