A most ridiculous post.



Balls to how much more the players can take. They're not in charge. The Dr. and Noble are. About time we had a backroom staff with backbone, we've suffered from the players and fringe staff having too much influence for far too long.

I thank Sean for the time he spent with us , but this says more about Sean than it does Noble .

There was ' clear the Air meetings ' with both parties staing they would give it a go, not exactly much of a go was it.

Sean states he didn't want to leave , then we get rumours Wigan are after him for U19's coach , now he hands in a resignation two days before a CC game when he and Alan are supposed to be preparing the squad and Noble doesn't even officially take over team affairs until next Monday.



I have to state Brian Noble's / Dr Koukash's mantra from the press conference ,

first & foremost you've got to want to be at Salford and buy into the dream ,

Sean obviously doesn't & hasn't , and his dreams lie elsewhere.

Funny how most of you weren't saying that the loss Of Long was ok back in January when Sean Long stuck by your club.

Think this is a pretty big loss for the club, when we are bringing in a coach who builds his team around defence we would have been better served with long working on our attack. With Fages, Evalds and Syned on the books Long for me had a big part to play in their progression.



Do think at some point Long will be a very good head coach and good luck to him.



I just hope that this doesn't lead to Paul coming in in his place.

Well Marshy, what can you do if someone resigns, that is his choice. Most have said thanks for what you have done, but if he wants to be elsewhere that s up to him. You like your occasional prod and that is ok, but don't try and make out it is somehow the club, or fans fault. Sean is a big boy and has made his own decision, players, coaches and administrators come and go, it is only us fans who stick around.

There is the Long way and the Noble way.



I'd be very surprised if Long and Noble could ever resolve their issues.



In the end Salford need a Noble with his Plan A type rugby. He can mold a team and contruct a pretty mean defensive line.

Bill, I don't seem to see anywhere where I apportioned blame, I simply pointed out that not long ago Mr Long was being held as a decent asset to your club, yet all of a sudden a few on here are forgetting how he stuck around in troubled times.

I fail to see where the prod is.



Anyhow good luck on Sunday, I hope you take a few to Gloucester to boost their coffers.

We've been crying out for this for decades. We can play some pretty expansive RL at times, certainly as good as anyone else in the competition. It's our defense that has let us down, consistently, over the years. If he can bring in a defensive mentality we will rise pretty rapidly imo.

He's got to do both - otherwise we just end up with another Karl Harrison scenario - defence massively toughened but then we stopped scoring!
