I like the design of the new stadium. Although it's not as nice as the original plans, it's still really good, and 20,000 would have been a bit big I think. Can think of many grounds which don't have four equal sides too, Old Trafford being one.

Do you seriously think that we would have stood any chance of a franchise if we had remained at The Willows ? The place is fit for demolition.

Do you HONESTLY think that John Wilkinson has put in all this hard work just to entertain his business associates. The man has been made to look a little foolish at times because of the alterations to the stadium plans, but as promised, he's been the mainstay of the delivery of the new stadium.

If you do not appreciate just how much hard work has been done by the board to ensure that we have both a new playing facility and a future in SL, you clearly have absolutely no idea just how much hard work and money the Chairman and his board have invested in the club and it's future.

Have it on good authority that the builder for Saints new ground, Barr construction has gone bust although details have not yet been released. Might this hold up their build at a critical time???

Don't think they have gone bust as they have just got the contract for the Aberdeen Fc stadium. One of the sub contractors went bust a few weeks back though.

Nope, they haven't gone bust. But a company from the North East employing local builders on the site HAS gone bust, leaving a number of builders without work and unpaid. Barr will sort that one out and Saints have been assured that the handover will not be delayed as a result.



We now have seats in the North Stand (with 'Saints' written across that block), the corners and they are presently being installed in the South Stand.



The stadium is oval in shape but there are now two sticky out bits where entrances are being built. This was something to do with the proximity to Tesco apparently. There is also a continuous roof with no obstructions. As it is free-hanging, the backs of the stands have to finish about one metre short of the roof (bar the South Stand, which has all the function rooms in it) due to potential problems with wind resistence.



Saints are due to get the keys at the end of October.
