Wow.... I'm amazed that I've just logged onto the Turkey and not one mention of the disgraceful scenes at the foot of the south stand after the game last night. Mass brawl that lasted a good 5-10 minutes and I'm pretty sure I saw punches aimed at the stewards during the melee as well. Am I surprised? No... it's been brewing all season and it needs to be addressed. I heard a rumour it started with beer throwing which wouldn't surprise me as we seem to have attracted a fair number of numpty "fans" recently. Whoever was responsible for that last night needs banning permanently as it ruined a great game and it was disgusting to see. I'm pretty sure one of the idiots goading the stewards was a contributor on here as well. You'll know who you are and you really need to take a long hard look at yourself.



Hopefully there is CCTV of the incident and the club come down hard on the perpetrators.

Wasn`t aware anything had happened until i saw something on twitter earlier , i just come out of the east stand and got off but i did hear a loud chorus of boos as i walked past the south stand , seems to be 2 different groups on twitter have formed there own cliques and this is the result , i thought it was an attack on a steward which is bad enough , had no idea how serious it became

Idiots who have drinking all day ruined a brilliant match. Throwing beer to incite trouble. Need to use cameras and get stewards in there. An embarrassment to the club and themselves. You know who you are as you are on hear. Football season will be hear soon so you can use that as an excuse. M K must be wondering why he bothered.

I'm not really surprised either. We've always had a number of 'numpty' fans, just like pretty much every other club. I'm generally away from it at home games but I cringe at the behaviour of some of our fans at away games a lot of the time. The idea that 'rugby league is a family game' is a myth. People can mainly conduct themselves better than football fans but there's plenty of absolute bell pieces attending every game.

Mate, please don't use the "football fans" line it's embarrassing. RL has just as many idiots watching it's matches as football does, it's more a reflection on society rather than a sport. I'm pretty sure one guy got taken away in an ambulance as a result of the incident but no idea if he was the aggressor or a victim. It was difficult to tell but there were at LEAST 6-8 people involved and there were a number of kids, women, elderly and disabled people in very close proximity. I've not been on Twitter yet but I can.imagine some of the nonsense being spouted.

I reckon it might of been the same fans who was at the hull game calling out peado chants at Dr devil! But in a drunken aggressive manner. I just hope the cause of some idiots dosent lose the appeal of fans going the games!

The aftermath of what ever went on, was a disgrace!

To back up a previous contributor,I too noticed a group of "regular " posters from this forum,who appeared to be finding the whole event with laughter.

Fortunately there was an official photographer,from either the RFL or our club/stadium,taking pictures of the entire affair.

When challenged as to what he was doing,he stated it was to pass onto the club,and hopefully to help them in taking any appropriate action.

Let's hope that any offenders,are dealt with by the club,fairly and correctly.

Fairly & correctly = banned from every RL ground for life.



I missed it myself but I'm ashamed we have the type of idiots stood amongst us who'd do this.

Anybody naming names?

Lots of people know who was involved, let's make an effort to get these trash out of the club.

Can anybody explain what happened? I didn't see it but sounds bad.

I didn't see how it started mate but it kicked off big style. One guy's face was a right mess and I'm pretty sure a couple of the stewards were hit in the melee. I'd like to think those on here that know those involved will name and shame but I won't hold my breath. I hope the pictures that were taken by the photographer are made public and the thugs involved are banned permanently.
