Neil Barker has said in todays' M.E.N that Rangi Chase is coming on board for next year. Does this mean it's a done-deal or are one of the bigger clubs going to swipe him from under our red noses? I personally think that signing Chase would be a massive turning point, if we can get him then who knows who we might be able to sign in the future!



It also says in another article that we are signing a couple of young lads who've been going well at Batley, sounds like a decent move.

I must admit I read the article too and couldn't work out whether it was a done deal or merely speculation.



I think he'd be a great signing and will give us the creativity that we've been desperately lacking this season. I remember when we played Cas at home a few months ago, he completely run the show and pretty much won the game on his own.

That second link is an absolute beauty.

If we sign Chase I would say that it would arguably be Salford biggest signing since Steve Nash joined us in the summer of 1975 for a world record transfer fee. Yes we have had some big high profile names over the past 38 years but with respect they were all past their peak.

I wasn't his biggest fan I preferred Gibbo's unpredictability and elusiveness with ball in hand for entertainment. A class player but I don't think we saw him play to his full potential in an average at best Salford team.
