I'm sure it will be the same bunch of gob-5hites who were sat in the family stand last year boozing and effing and blinding while I sat with my 3 year old son and a mate from Cas who was accutely embarrassed!!

In terms of their franchise bid they need to get on with applying for full planning permission as the outline permission they were granted in November 07 expires in 5 months. Then they would have to reapply. Granted they have announced architects now but that took 2 and half years so you never know???



However in reality due to a technicality they don't actually have planning permission until their developer builds a new link road, which they still haven't done.



Thats not to say it's all roses for us in Wakefield either. Leeds council were talking of objecting and we're due a decision on our planning application within a month. However.... Plans have been completed for months, more groups are getting on board with the site every month & most importantly the money is 100% there and the developers are chomping on the bit to get on with it asap.

WE JUST NEED THE GREEN LIGHT!!!



So in conclusion something like this will be a tiny footnote IF Cas get the stadium, if they don't this wouldn't matter anyway.

We're all sweating over stadium plans over this way.

Get a grip, we are all saying that it's a minority and that it is abhorrent. I personally enjoy close to the bone banter with people I work with but when one asked why I thought this was so bad I replied that I don't want the game I love in the papers for this kind of reason as it sullies it's and it's followers good name.

Can you see it helping your cause? doubt it will be a major factor unless it comes down to the nitty gritty between 2 clubs and then the adverse publicity this has caused will surely hurt you.

My point is though, is that every club has a few idiot fans. You might say "yeah but your lot are becoming infamous". In my opinion the bottle saga was a farce & we were punished as it was a sky game. Nothing was mentioned of 2006 when we beat a certain team 31-30 and they peppered our pitch with bottles. As for the Thomas chants, they were stupid & dumb. But a 40K fine and an increased risk of no license...OTT really.
