Bit harsh, wellsy's posts are normally well thought out and make a lot of sense, this one was a idea tho, he must have been joking...it would be far easier to just try to get planning permission, and if anyone challenges it, just buy their agreement...5 or 6 houses would be effected, give each of em a few thousand not to appeal the new stand. Would doing so be legal?

I long for the day when Whelan install's a retractable roof in the North Stand in preperation for the visits of Leeds, Bradford, Hull KR Cas & Wakey.

You are aware that we don't force any fans into a particular part of the ground, aren't you?

Certainly was a p*sstake. Wouldn't ever seriously happen, but would be cool if it did! I said before that they should do the whole screen/entrance thing at Bradford with their corporate stand. Would fit in with the way they (used to) have their pre-match entertainment quite nicely I think!



Can't see them buying the houses behind Headingley though. They'd have to buy 8 houses behind it to make it work, and I can't see them ever being that bothered to do that for the sake of an away stand. They can only have a certain capacity IIRC due to the area it's in, so even if the crowds do build to that point, they'd have a whole list of other problems before buying the houses (and getting permission from the residents) before increasing capacity,

neither do we but no matter how many times it's been said on here people still bring it up. the carnegie, where i sit, always has plenty of away fans in it

So why don't Leeds start sending Carnegie Stand tickets to visiting clubs rather than West Terrace ones?

because thats where they like to shove you,however you can buy them for anywhere in the ground

But away fans like to all be together. If they're going to send the majority of tickets to their clubs for the Western Terrace, then the club are going to push that on them so they can get their cut. Hence they'll end up there.

fair comment but if you get there and its peeing down you can upgrade on the night

And still not be with the away fans...



I remember in 2003 when the Hull fans "invaded" the South Stand when it was raining. What happened? Stewards were trying to get them out of it. I remember going to toilet, then trying to go back into the stand only to be told by the steward I had to leave. I was 16 years old and on my own, with the rest of my family in that stand, and he was telling me to get out regardless of what I said.



So, when Leeds say "you can go anywhere you like", they really mean "you can go anywhere you like, as long as there isn't a significant number of you".

id rather leeds spent the £2/3m on development and infrastructure than buying some houses just to put a roof on the western terrace
